The bible defines faith as the confidence/substance/reality of what we hope for and the assurance/evidence of things we cannot see (Hebrews 11:1).
If we use this concept practically, we will realise that we live by faith every single day even if we do not consciously recognise it. We set our alarms every night before going to bed and believe that we will wake up to do what we have planned for the next day. In our planning we envision how things that are not yet will be in the future. At the time of planning, we set the scene and trust that it will play out exactly how we plan it. This is faith.
In our everyday life, we carry out actions that can be considered as acts of faith. You have a mango seed. You sow it into the soil water it consistently believing that one day it will not just turn into a mere plant, but one that grows to bring forth fruits-more mangoes. You saw mangoes in a simple seed. This is faith.
Faith is not always easy to carry out or live by. Faith requires courage. This is especially true when it comes to living out dreams that have been placed into our hearts. A simple idea that you believe in but are not quite sure how it will play out into the real world. A world that is already full of ideas that seem even better than yours. Do you then get discouraged and sit back watching what could be die out and become what never became? No. We say, have faith and take that step. As unsure of the exact steps to take and the exact outcome of your actions, have faith in God that He will bring forth what He has set out in you.
In the covid-19 era, faith is one of our greatest assets. We have to believe that the current situation will cease and things will get better. We need to keep believing for a better tomorrow. We need faith.
So, this is where we start with Jenesis Wise. We start with FAITH.
